Meeting of August 13, 2019

President Susan Poel called the meeting to order at 6:30P.M. and asked for approval of the July minutes. They were unanimously approved. 

Phyllis brought a guest, Fay Jansen.

On behalf of treasurer Mary Beth Collins, Susan reported that CHG has an account balance of $5743.89.

Susan said that the Hezekiah Alexander House has again this year requested volunteers for it Back County Days. Members were given an opportunity to sign up for 12-2P.M. or 2-4P.M. shifts on Saturday, September 7.

Ann Baldwin said that she, Lana, Mary Ann, and Millie had worked at the Hezekiah Alexander garden last Friday. Ann also updated the group on the next Herb Guild meeting. It will be Sunday, September 15, at 2:00P.M.at the McGill Rose Garden. Eric and Craig Ritchie will present a program on Virginia’s Herb Garden, which has been updated. Ann will check to be certain chairs will be available.

The group then enjoyed a presentation on herbal soups and had an opportunity to sample them.
